Spin Yes No

About Spin Yes No

Spin Yes No is run by a single independent builder as seven free random-decision tools built around one idea: show the mechanism, not just the number. Every tool states exactly how its result is drawn, works a real example through with the tool's own defaults at a fixed, reproducible seed, and explains why a fair draw is fair -- not just that it is.

How the tools work

Every tool on this site -- the Yes or No Wheel, the custom Wheel Spinner, the Random Name Picker, the Random Number Wheel, Coin Flip, Dice Roller, and the Random Choice Generator -- routes its actual draw through one shared set of randomness functions rather than each tool reinventing its own. Every integer draw uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) with unbiased rejection sampling; every shuffle is a true Fisher-Yates. Neither Math.random() nor a plain modulo shortcut appears anywhere in the draw path, because both are measurably biased for most ranges.

Result first, animation second

Every wheel on this site works the same way under the hood: the winning segment is decided first, with the real random draw, before any animation begins. The spin you see is calculated backward from that already-decided result to land the wheel exactly there. There is no code path anywhere on this site that determines a result from where a wheel happens to visually stop -- only the reverse.

What it doesn't do

Nothing here is saved beyond a single browser: the Wheel Spinner and Random Name Picker remember the last entry list you typed in, locally, via localStorage, and nothing else persists anywhere. There are no accounts, no server-side history, and no way for a shared wheel link to predetermine or influence a result -- it only shares the entry list, not an outcome. See Terms.
